In its most recent reincarnation, the architectural journal ČIP has gone back to its roots, evoking its original form of an oversized paper of long-gone 1954. The change in the artistic direction goes hand in hand with the aspiration of the new editorial team for “the current, the critical, the recessionary”. Down and dirty design that prefers documentary photograph and a kind of rawness of presentation signalises a drastic break with the previous editorial concept, and is in line with a series of current and crisis-laden domestic urban topics that have upset both the profession and the broader social community.
