The program of the Zagreb Nova Gallery is devised by the curatorial collective WHW (What, How & for Whom) which takes part in numerous local and international initiatives/platforms/events.In terms of program, the gallery is oriented towards marginal contemporary art idioms.
The Nova Gallery paper expands the basic idea of the programme booklet of current events through the newspaper format that permits heterogeneous forms of presentation — from interviews to original texts, and it also follows the other activities of the WHW collective and similar organisations.
The newspaper designer, Dejan Kršić, is himself a member of WHW, which puts him in a rather specific (although for him not uncommon) position in which content and form are inseparably interfused. The engaged position of WHW has found a natural expression in Kršić’s characteristic design, built upon the foundations of Russian Constructivism.
