The author tests out the relation between gold and rust, lasting and passing values. The coarse raw material bears the characteristic of non-precious metal that is subject to destruction under the influence of different media (just as iron corrodes). Through wearing, deformations in the structure of the material are created, thus forming an interesting pattern. Rust is shown in a material with a precious-metal shine that is additionally treated in order to obtain a rich texture and volume.
